Lady Caroline

One of the best-known and older speys, this is my take on the Lady Caroline; tied with materials I had on hand (so some substitution occurs). Notice the rather drab colors in this pattern; the brighter speys are a more recent trend.

Rib - Gold Flat Tinsel (med)
Counter Rib - Silver Ultra Wire (fine)
Spey Hackle - Grey (burned goose shoulder)
Collar - Golden Pheasant Red Body Feather (1 turn)
Wing - Bronze Mallard
Thread - Black
