Rambling Reports - Fly Fishing, Centerpin and Conventional Tackle Guide Service

Matt Pedersen, your host and guide, has over 20 years of fly fishing experience and 18 years of fly tying experience. He invites you to join him on the water to flyfish for Inland Trout in Northeastern Iowa and Steelhead, King & Coho Salmon and Brown Trout in Southeastern Wisconsin. While both regions can be fished year round (no closed seasons) Iowa Guided Fishing Trips run primarily in the summer months (May, June, July, August) and to a lesser extent, the winter months (November, December, January, February). SE WI Tributary and Lake Michigan opportunities are prime in the fall, winter and spring. Check the "Guiding Seasons" section to learn more.

Rambling Reports Guide Services are extremely flexible and customizable. Half Day and Full Day Trips are available in SE WI. Full Day and Multiple Day Trips are available for NE IA. For beginning anglers and those that want premium service, there is a Pro Guide service level. For the advanced angler a discounted Team Fish service level is available. As an accomplished photographer and writer, Matt Pedersen will also document your outing. A variety of equipment can be used, ranging from modern graphite fly rods to hand made bamboo and custom centerpin (float) rods. Review the "Service Options" and "Equipment Options" to learn more.

Rates accommodate up to 2 anglers and vary by location, service and equipment levels. Northeast Iowa day trips start as low as $315; multiple days thereafter as low as $245 per day. Southeast Wisconsin Trips can be scheduled for as little as $140 for a 4 hour trip; that's only $70 per person for a party of two.

Northeast Iowa Inland Trout Fly Fishing Guides - Guided Trip Rates - $450 for the first day, $350 each additional day, for up to 2 anglers, up to 8 hours on the water per day. Team Fish Rates, subtract 30%. Bamboo Rod Rentals are $50 per rod per day additional. Gratuities at your discretion.

Southeast Wisconsin Salmon/Steelhead Fishing Guides - Guided Trip Rates - 4 hour trips are $200 for 1 or 2 anglers. 8 hour trips are $350 for 1 or 2 anglers. Team Fish Rates subtract 30%. Bamboo Rod Rentals are $50 per rod per day additional. Centerpin Rod Rentals are $25 per rod per day additional. Gratuities at your discretion.
