Glo Bug

The Glo Bug is just about the simplest fly to tie,
but they can be painstaking all the same. Consisting of nothing
more than thread and spun globug yarn, the painful part is getting
a nice, round shape and consistent spin of the yarn. Several people
suggest making these flies with store bought pom poms simply threaded
on the hook and tied in...see the "micropom" and "watermelon"
pattern for an example of that. For excellent tying instructions
see the Steelheading101 website on the links page (glo bugs above
were store bought, below I tied).
Pattern (as tied)
Hook - Typically a short shank caddis, circle or egg type
Thread - STRONG THREAD
Body - Glo Bug Yarn
