So here's the deal...Chromeseeker and I were gonna
perch fish...he had done well the night prior over at Gilson. But
when he got there this Friday, while I was still in the office,
he found nothing but muddy waters!
Thus I ended up going solo. I figured I'd hit Kenosha
Harbor, toss some spoons and maybe get lucky. Got there around 7:30
and pretty much had the place to myself...2 other guys were working
the sweet spot so I let them be.
There was plenty of bait around; the gulls were
picking it off left and right. Mostly really small stuff, around
1-2". A smaller Kastmaster in silver and green brought me two
hits, both missed, and that's about all I can say! Well, I did snag
a number of these shadlike fish...maybe Menhadden?
10:00 the bite turned on, well, maybe not "the
bite" but rather some fish started feeding on the surface.
Can't say whether they were carp or the browns! By 10:30 PM I'd
had my fill..snapped off a good amount of my line so I called it
a night!
