Ha, this report is so easy it's laughable. I was
on my way up to my folks house to put the FINISH on the Team Ozark
Chronicles Fly Rod & Reel 2004 Trout Bum Tournament Rod (what
a MOUTHFUL!) and well, I figured I had a bit of time to kill....so
I stopped on over at Independence Grove...heck it's on the way!
Well at least I didn't pay to park just so I could
get skunked. Those summer concerts are a nice little perk for the
angler...
Yeah, that's right, you heard me, skunked. Totally
skunked. Plenty of Bluegills around if I really, really wanted to
avoid a skunk, but honestly I think that if you didn't go out targeting
PANFISH then you probably SHOULDN'T use them to break a skunk. Just
my opinion...take it or leave it. I admit, it does hurt this fly
angler to watch the 5 highs chool guys fishin' bait (and listening
to the Cubbies) totally slay 'em while I'm flogging the water with
a bunny leech! You should've seen the looks on their faces when
I showed up and they asked "You're FLY fishing???"
Oh well, at least I got the
rod done!
