I needed a relaxing day; I have rods to build and
well, all this running around you just NEED a break sometimes. While
I sat and worked on the lathe most of the day, Chromeseeker had
been at Kenosha Harbor since NOON. 2 hits, one extremely brief,
one snap off. That was the report come 7:00 PM. I was told to stop
and pick up bait on my way over.
So "bait" happened to make for a nice
dinner too. When I pulled up at Kenosha Harbor I saw 5 browns rolling
on the surface simultaneously. The fish activity had definitely
picked up.
Unfortunately, the highlights of the evening had
nothing to do with browns. Dinner was superb. The company was great;
Ken even made it down towards 10:00 to see how we were doing. I
did get to see a Crappie landed on the fly by a neighboring angler.
Notice how there's NO mention of anything going on with the browns?
We tried EVERYTHING and simply NOTHING worked. I think we packed
it up around 11:30 PM or so....apparently I should have maybe stayed
until the morning when the action is supposedly better. Sometime
soon though you'll be reading a much different report!
