This was a pretty straightforward build. The longest part
was the reel seat, which took HOURS to hand ream to fit. From
now on, I'll be trying to steer folks towards metal seats
on the larger diameter rods...wood isn't very practical in
the building process.
Craig also had me try to incorporate the "checkerboard"
effect into the cork rings on the grip and butts. Personally,
after doing one, I don't have any interest in doing it again...the
resulting "look" while interesting wasn't really
worth all the labor and effort involved.
