This St. Croix Avid 3wt. was actually the rod Gerry ordered
first. It's SWEET. Normally I like to keep hardware the same
color, although with what Gerry picked, it's a combination
of nickel silver (at the butt end) and TiCH (on the guides).
The nickle silver hardware works because the bright silver
color is picked up in the guide wraps on the rod.
Another note, the Black Ash Burl reel seat was turned by
Dave Winslow. I originally picked up the wood on eBay and
had it sitting around; a few months back I sent it to him
to work his magic!
