This rod was available for purchase; my asking price was $195. It now belongs to Matt Jenning's (aka. Jenkins or MJ).

This is my 2nd 5 piece Forecast 4wt - the first was built and given to Jerry. I must say, these blanks cast better than the same model as a 2 piece; they're really OUTSTANDING for the price.
 
Things I learned while building this rod

This was a great build...everything just came together. I still find that these multi-piece blanks allow little room for any decorative work. I goofed on this one in one spot - I finished it without putting on the alignment dots! No problem, although it did require a 2nd coat of finish - this time I used a no-mix formula for quick and easy application. It looked like it wouldn't work out initially, but my fears subsided when everything dried just fine!
